Flooring and panel procurement / For distributors

Sourcing in Vietnam

Develop a Vietnam flooring or wall-panel programme with the construction, factory offer and production reference considered together. Local product specialists support the buying process from selection through follow-through.

01 / The buying decision

Define the floor or wall system first

For SPC flooring, the brief needs to identify the core, locking direction, wear system and format. Wall-panel programmes need their own decisions on substrate, connection, joints, corners and installation. A category name alone leaves too much room for different quotations.

02 / The buying decision

Build a comparable Vietnam supplier offer

Assess each proposed supplier against the actual programme: product fit, sample approval, available construction, packaging and order structure. Factory pricing is reviewed alongside those details, with the quotation’s delivery terms and exclusions recorded.

03 / The buying decision

Carry the approval into production

An agreed sample, decor reference and current specification give production management and quality coordination a shared starting point. Record which details need review, who approves changes and how the production order refers to the approved version.

Prepare the destination-market brief

Buyers in Europe, the United States and the Middle East may need different product documents, labels and installation information. Set the required evidence and language early, then review the documents for the selected construction rather than relying on a general factory brochure.

  • SPC flooring or wall-panel construction and intended application
  • Locking system or wall connection, joints and finishing details
  • Approved decor, surface, sample and specification revision
  • Private-label packaging, labelling and installation information
  • Quotation terms, quantity structure and production timing
  • Quality checkpoints and documents required for your market

Questions from buying teams

Sourcing in Vietnam

Can a Vietnam programme cover both flooring and wall panels?

Yes, the commercial brief can cover both. Each product still needs its own construction, sample, technical evidence and installation specification; a flooring approval does not approve a wall-panel system.

Can the range be developed under a distributor’s own brand?

Private-label development can be included in the buying brief. Confirm the product range, packing, labels, instructions and any accessory requirements before the final commercial order is approved.

Does sourcing in Vietnam establish compliance for the destination market?

Origin alone does not establish product compliance. The buyer’s required evidence must be checked against the selected construction, intended use and supporting documents.
