Sourcing in Thailand

Bring rigid-core flooring, real-wood veneer and outdoor collection development into one commercial conversation. Local expertise in Thailand connects the product brief with supplier selection, negotiation and production coordination.

01 / The buying decision

Give VSPC its own product brief

A real-wood veneer surface changes the buying decisions: species, grade, grain, colour, coating and accepted natural variation need approval alongside the rigid core and connection. A wood-look print reference cannot stand in for an approved veneer sample.

02 / The buying decision

Develop the rigid-core flooring range

For SPC programmes, establish the core construction, connection, format, surface and backing before comparing offers. Long planks, herringbone directions and premium finishes add different decisions to the brief; their availability and specification are confirmed for the selected programme.

03 / The buying decision

Specify decking as an outdoor system

Traditional and capped composites require a different approval process from indoor flooring. Record the profile, surface, colour direction and supporting components alongside installation guidance and the product evidence your market requires.

From a direction to a specification

Coordinate the commercial programme

Factory negotiations and production management follow the approved range rather than a collection of disconnected sample choices. Quantities, private-label presentation, packing, delivery terms and approval milestones remain visible as the order develops.

  • Indoor flooring, real-wood veneer or outdoor programme scope
  • Veneer species, grade, finish and accepted natural variation where relevant
  • Core construction, connection, formats and surface references
  • Decking profile, accessories and installation requirements where relevant
  • Private-label presentation, quantity assumptions and delivery terms
  • Approval milestones, supporting documents and quality coordination

Questions from buying teams

Sourcing in Thailand

Can a Thailand programme include VSPC veneer flooring?

VSPC is part of the Thailand sourcing programme. The actual construction, veneer specification, formats and commercial availability are agreed for the selected range.

Should veneer flooring be approved in the same way as printed SPC?

The rigid-core and connection still need a clear specification, but veneer adds its own approval points. Species, grade, coating, colour range and natural variation should be reviewed on the actual wood surface.

Can decking share the indoor-flooring specification?

No. Outdoor profiles, substructure, fixings, movement and exposure requirements need their own product and installation brief. Indoor-flooring evidence should not be transferred to a decking programme.
