Direction matters
Record the internal profile orientation and the approved installation direction. Avoid assuming the panel behaves identically in every orientation.
Core / Profiled internal support For the trade
A corrugated support direction beneath the decorative face. Specify the internal geometry, skin construction and orientation as part of the finished wall-panel programme.

Corrugated-core panels use a profiled internal support arrangement rather than a fully filled board. The shape, spacing and direction of that support influence handling and the way the face is supported.
The core description should be backed by a section drawing. Overall thickness alone cannot show the skins, internal support or treatment of joints and cut edges.
We consider the core with the surface film, joint detail, substrate and fixing approach. Compare actual finished panels under the same conditions before making performance or logistics claims.
Record the internal profile orientation and the approved installation direction. Avoid assuming the panel behaves identically in every orientation.
A premium-looking face still needs consistent backing support and an installation detail matched to the construction.
A useful quotation starts with the construction and the intended market. These are the decisions we work through with your product team.
Prepare your specification ↗| Decision | What to define |
|---|---|
| Section | Support shape, pitch, direction and material distribution. |
| Faces | Skin thickness, surface film and lamination quality. |
| Edges | Joint profile, closures and treatment around openings. |
| Installation | Specified support, attachment and handling method. |
Questions from product teams
Both can contain voids, but the internal geometry is different. Use the actual section to distinguish them.
A coordinated film direction may be possible, but adhesion, appearance and machining must be approved on the selected construction.
