Surface coherence
Coordinate embossing, colour, gloss and bevel. EIR describes registration of texture to the decor, not an automatic performance rating.
Surface / A considered specification For the trade
Premium is a specification, not a thicker board with a new label. Develop a coherent surface, edge and construction package for your higher-value distribution range.

A premium plank programme starts with an intentional surface. Grain character, registered embossing, gloss level and edge treatment need to support the same visual direction. These choices are judged together on a full-size board.
The underlying construction still matters: core stability, connection quality, wear-system specification and underlay compatibility. A decorative feature does not compensate for an unresolved board.
We work through range architecture with your team: what distinguishes the premium tier, how it relates to the opening price point, and how the sample, carton and supporting documentation communicate that difference.

Give the higher tier measurable differences. Avoid a premium claim based only on a product name or promotional photograph.
A useful quotation starts with the construction and the intended market. These are the decisions we work through with your product team.
Prepare your specification ↗| Decision | What to define |

| Texture and gloss | EIR or other texture route; measured gloss target and approval sample. |
| Edges | Pressed, painted or other agreed bevel treatment and its visual consistency. |
| Construction | Core, wear layer, connection and backing defined as a complete product. |
| Presentation | Private-label samples, display information, carton layout and technical support. |
Questions from product teams
No. Appearance and tested performance are separate. Specify the surface treatment and verify its relevant test results.
A higher-value surface programme can include stone or tile directions, but format, edge treatment and joint appearance must be developed for that product.
