Identify the aluminium geometry, surface material and how the two are connected.
Outdoor / Hybrid structural platform For the trade
An aluminium element combined with a composite exterior surface. Treat the hybrid assembly as its own system, with profile-specific support, fixing and movement requirements.

Aluminium-core composite decking combines an aluminium structural element with a composite surface or surrounding profile. It is a different construction from an ordinary solid or hollow WPC extrusion.
The section, connection between materials and fixing arrangement need to be identified in the product documents. Support requirements and movement should follow the actual system, not guidance copied from conventional boards.
We develop the commercial brief around full-profile samples, matching edge components and documented installation details. Any span, fire or load claim must be supported for the selected assembly and its use.
Identify the aluminium geometry, surface material and how the two are connected.
Confirm compatible substructure, fixings, interfaces and cut-edge treatment. Mixed materials require a coherent detail.
A useful quotation starts with the construction and the intended market. These are the decisions we work through with your product team.
Prepare your specification ↗| Decision | What to define |
|---|---|
| Structural element | Aluminium section, declared material and relevant design evidence. |
| Composite surface | Actual material, texture, thickness and attachment. |
| Fixings | Compatible clips or fasteners and supporting substructure. |
| Use | Documented support, movement, drainage and project requirements. |
Questions from product teams
Do not assume a span. It must be supported by the selected profile’s documentation and relevant loading requirements.
No. The complete assembly includes other materials. Use a classification for the actual finished product and mounting arrangement.
