Välinge Liteback removes material from the back of thermoplastic flooring through controlled milling. Its purpose is to reduce the material used in the board while retaining the required product performance.
The technology provider describes the potential for material reduction of up to 20%. That is a technology-level statement, not a guaranteed figure for every thickness or construction. The delivered board needs its own weight and performance evidence.
We assess the selected board, groove arrangement, backing compatibility, connection and packing together. A useful commercial comparison looks at verified delivered mass and pallet loading, rather than a general lightweight label.

No. Up to 20% is the technology provider’s stated potential. The actual reduction depends on the selected product and must be verified.
Can a Light SPC board be described as Liteback?
Not on that basis. A lightweight formulation is a different construction. Liteback describes a specific licensed mechanical material-removal route.
