Universal herringbone uses a connection designed to assemble the pattern from one plank type. It is also described as single-plank or one-panel herringbone. It does not mean that an ordinary straight plank can be installed in any direction.
Technology routes include Unilin Unizip, Välinge 5G H/B One and i4F HerringB/ONE. They should be evaluated as distinct systems with their own geometry, approved constructions and installation requirements.
A single plank type changes ordering and carton handling. The commercial benefit should be considered alongside product cost, factory authorisation, machining quality and the installation experience of your distribution market.
Pattern approval still matters
Test a complete layout with the production construction. Confirm starting arrangements, board engagement and permitted patterns from the actual instructions.

No. Multiple technology providers offer one-plank herringbone concepts. Their names, profiles and installation methods should not be used interchangeably.
